The Arnold Clark Organisation is the largest independent automotive group in Europe. Established in the 1950s by Sir Arnold Clark, the company now has over 165 retail dealerships with 21 new car franchises. The company is a £2bn turnover business, employing over 8,500 members of staff and selling 200,000 vehicles each year.

Committed to service

In addition to car sales, the company has one of the largest service and repair networks in the country, offering servicing, maintenance, fast-fit tyres and exhausts, parts and accessory sales to consumers and businesses. Our Car Rental division operates over 5,000 cars, vans and minibuses at 40 sites in the UK. We also have 34 Accident Repair centres, approved by most leading insurers. Our insurance division provides car, travel, house and pet insurance. Arnold Clark Insurance (Malta) underwrites the company used car warranty, and other insurance products e.g. GAP, CPI etc.

Quality training and education

GTG Training is a wholly owned training company that provides training in specialist automotive skills, soft skills, IT, Logistics and Health and Safety, from custom-built premises in Glasgow and Edinburgh. GTG complies with all standards set by IMI, OCR, CITB, RTITB & DSA. GTG has a proven history of providing quality training and education for a wide range of successful companies.

A family passion for cars

The Arnold Clark Group remains a family run business. By focussing our efforts on customer retention, and by re-investing 100% of net earnings, the Board of Directors aims to sustain a long-term return and to keep the Group free of secured debt. The shareholding of the Group is held entirely by Sir Arnold Clark and his family, with 35% of the share capital being held in a family trust. This share structure is designed to ensure the Group remains a private limited company.
